General Manager, Chemistry
Responsible for the general management of the sales, product management, operations, and customer support of XBE's chemistry division

The General Manager, Chemistry is responsible for the general management of XBE’s chemical division. Responsibilities span sales, product management, operations, and customer support. The position's performance is evaluated based on the profitability of the division, and its leader is expected to make proactive improvement to all aspects of the operation.

Specific duties include:

  • Establish relationships with new customers
  • Create and implement sales and marketing plans
  • Support and aid third party sales staff
  • Represent XBE on technical appointments
  • Ensure overall customer satisfaction
  • Facilitate resolution of project difficulties, safety violations, or other reported deficiencies
  • Ensure product performance standards and compliance to governing and elective standards
  • Communicate effectively with all parties to ensure completion of testing projects as required by customers and product development
  • Perform/oversee internal testing audits and competency programs
  • Help engineer new products and product uses to meet customer and market needs
  • Develop and grow current and new raw material supplier relationships
  • Stay abreast of evolving market trends

Minimum requirements, abilities, and experience:

  • 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role
  • Prior sales experience preferred
  • Familiarity with most performance testing procedures for asphalt
  • Familiarity with asphalt construction and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong focus on quality and compliance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
