We're still excited to shared the exciting announcements and content we had planned and will be doing so remotely.

We'll be collecting and installing relics (photos, documents, etc) from customers for the museum entrance wall of XBE's new office. Plus, we'll introduce attendees to each other over a beer, and provide a convenient gathering place for whatever plans people have for the evening.

In 2018, Martin Rucker was determined to start his own construction trucking company, and by 2019 he had 3 quints hauling asphalt day and night in Kansas City. In this case study, Martin will share the story of his journey from the NFL to horizontal construction, what matters most from the perspective of a MBE trucking company, and where he's taking things from here.

Did you know that you can create XBE feature requests as action items within XBE and collaborate with the XBE development team on the effort? In this deep dive, Milind Alvares, Director of Product, will discuss our feature development process and review some of the highlights from the past year.

Guest Speaker: Nick Durham
Nick was previously the Director of Communications for BuiltWorlds, a media company focused the 'built' economy including horizontal construction. Since then he joined Shadow Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in seed-stage technology companies in the real estate and construction markets. Nick will share stories and perspectives related to innovation in contruction based on his unique experience and point of view.

As the first producer/paver customer of XBE, Superior Bowen has been there from the beginning. Now going into their third season, Superior Bowen has transformed the way they plan, execute, analyze, and improve their work. In this case study, we'll hear their team discuss that journey and what's to come in 2020 as they integrate two recent acquisitions in southern side of the Kansas City market.

Deep Dive: Plant, Crew & Equipment Scheduling
Building on the success (and infrastructure) of job production plans, XBE recently expanded into plant, crew, and equipment scheduling. In this deep dive, we'll get a full overview of these new capabilities from Brett Stanton, COO, including real examples. In addition, we'll hear a bit from the organizations that are adopting these features for the 2020 season.

Survey: Chemistry & Balanced Mix Design
As specifications change to allow contractors to innovate in their use of materials to achieve performance rquirements, it's important to stay up on the current status of chemistry and balanced mix design in asphalt manufacturing. Grant Wollenhaupt and Brett Stanton will provide a survey of the topic based on their extensive involvement in industry groups such as NAPA and NCAT, and their experience providing chemistry solutions and mix design assistance to manufacturers across the country.

Building an outstanding safety culture that's integrated with every operational process is a priority of the best companies in horizontal construction. In this deep dive, we'll see how XBE's incident management system has been extended to provide the ideal platform in which to do this. In addition, we'll hear more about the plans of some organizations to adopt these features for the 2020 season.

Panel: Dispatch Management
In the best case scenario, logistics is an invisible process that ensures that the right resources are in the place at the right time, and with minimal effort from the construction or plant teams. But, in this panel discussion, we'll discuss what it takes to make that happen with experts that get it done every day. The discussion will cover both technical and management topics.
