You're on Route 52 with XBE. For 52 straight Mondays during 2025, we're announcing something new and exciting.

We've reached Mile Marker 6, Planning and Forecasting Subsequent Trucking Shifts. If you source or dispatch trucking resources, this stop is for you.

It's best not to hire more trucks than you need for the day. Every extra truck can be hard to come by, and drivers with short days often leave frustrated.

With our new subsequent shift in driver day toggle on the trucking shift form, you can quickly indicate which shifts you plan to cover with a truck that's already working, and which will be the first on their driver's day. When you switch the toggle on, a small arrow appears on the lineup showing that the shift will follow another shift.

And now, by default, subsequent shifts aren't counted in the trucking forecast, so you get a clear picture of how many truly distinct drivers you'll need. By planning ahead to move trucks when possible, you can spend less time hiring extra capacity and more time keeping both your operation and your drivers happy.

This feature isn't just for convenience. It's a foundation for more advanced automation we're rolling out later this year.

Stay tuned next week for Mile Marker 7.
