Announcing The Raftaar, XBE's First Performance-Oriented Hackathon

Watch this is as a video newsletter instead!

XBE's first ever performance-oriented hackathon event, The Raftaar, will be held on November 2, 2022 from sunrise in Goa, India to sunset in Kansas City, Missouri.

During this event, three teams of XBE engineers will work together on speed-related innovations that will be started and finished on the same day. The goal of The Raftaar is to make a meaningful impact on users, and to support XBE's culture of performance-related engineering.

XBE has put significant effort towards optimizing performance this year with great results, and we want to sustain this effort. Examples include features that streamline workflows, preload data, decrease server response time, suggest actions, notify about important events, and automatically provision server resources based on demand.

We will announce the results of the event in the week after The Raftaar, but we hope that you'll feel it before then!

The team captains for this event are Naiya Shah, Juliana Thayil, and Pankaj Kataria. If you have performance-related ideas or would like to participate in any other way, let any XBE team member know.

We look forward to seeing the results of this event on our platform, culture, and community. Plus, it'll be great fun.

Regards,
