Create Knowledge Together

The gathering for leaders across heavy materials, logistics, and construction who are determined to succeed in the era of agentic workforces.

September 28-30, 2026
San Francisco, CaliforniaShack15

What Horizon Is

Horizon is where the leaders in the XBE community gather to shape the future of heavy materials, logistics, and construction.

Leaders across the industry come together to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and work through the operational changes being driven by agentic systems and intelligent automation.

Across our industry, a new model of operations is emerging — one where agentic workforces begin to redefine how organizations plan, decide, and execute. The XBE community is ahead of the curve and together we will continue to get better, forever.

No single company will solve this transition alone.

Horizon exists so the XBE community can create knowledge together.

Over three days, leaders from across the network gather to:

  • share real operational lessons
  • exchange emerging best practices
  • explore how to leverage agentic workforces
  • influence the next chapter of XBE

This is not a traditional conference.

It is a working forum for leaders who intend to build the next operating model of our industry.

Look Back At The Last Horizon

Horizon has already been the defining gathering for leaders across our industry.

Event Schedule

Every session at Horizon 2026 is built around one question: how does your organization succeed in an agentic workforce future?

The program is a mix of presentations, panels, and hands-on workshops that cover the full breadth of what's possible across heavy materials, logistics, and construction.

Presentations + Panels

Presentations and panels look at the bigger picture — where the industry is heading, what it takes to lead through it, and what the people already in motion are learning.

Leadership in an era of rapid change — The Dionysus Program and what it means to lead when your organization's knowledge is compounding faster than its identity

Hearing from peers across the XBE community on how they're leveraging Agent XBE and moving toward more autonomous operations

The business case for AI investment in heavy materials — how companies are measuring it and justifying it

What's coming from XBE — product direction, industry outlook, and where the platform is headed for customers and the broader ecosystem

Hands-On Workshops

Workshops get into the details. These are hands-on, tactical sessions designed to give you something you can put to work when you get home.

Game Plans — how to connect your goals to the platform capabilities that drive outcomes

The path to autonomous dispatch with All-22 — what it takes, what to expect, and how to get there safely

Setting up your organization for the change — both the infrastructure and the culture

What a successful onboarding looks like — and how Agent XBE accelerates it

Integration architecture, IT security, AI governance, and the operational foundation underneath all of it

The full schedule covers a wide range — from sessions built for leaders evaluating what's next to deep dives built for teams already in the thick of implementation. Whether you're new to XBE or years into the platform, in ready mix, asphalt, aggregates, or construction — there will be something here that's built for where you are right now.

Who this is for

Leaders and decision-makers across heavy materials, logistics, and construction who are responsible for how their organizations operate, compete, and grow in an era where the workforce itself is changing. Whether you're an XBE customer already building with the superworkforce or you're exploring what an agentic future means for your operation, this is where that conversation is happening.

Location

Shack15, San Francisco

Shack15 is located inside the historic Ferry Building on San Francisco’s waterfront, making it easily accessible from several nearby neighborhoods.

Where To Stay

If you’d like to stay close to the event, there are several excellent options within walking distance, including a Marriott property and a Hilton option for those looking to use points.

For a more distinctive stay, San Francisco also offers a number of boutique hotels nearby that provide a uniquely local experience.

And for those who prefer to stay outside the downtown bustle, many guests choose to stay across the Bay in Sausalito or Marin, enjoying a scenic ferry ride directly to the Ferry Building each morning.

Succeeding In An Agentic Future

XBE recently introduced Agent XBE - the outcome-driven superworkforce built on the XBE System of Action. Early customers are already seeing how agentic systems expand operational capacity and reshape how work gets done.

As this shift unfolds, we’re launching the Agent XBE Collective - an exclusive group of leaders in the XBE community working together to define how agentic operations will shape our industry.

The Collective begins now, continues through Horizon, and carries forward afterward as we share early lessons, emerging operational models, and real-world experiences from organizations moving first.

The Dionysus Program cover

A Framework For Navigating Rapid Change

The Dionysus Program

Sean Devine’s The Dionysus Program explores how organizations can adapt as knowledge begins to change faster than institutions can absorb it.

It introduces the idea of epimetabolic rate — the speed at which a team can convert error and new information into stronger structure without burning trust.

A PDF version of the book is available below.

All Horizon registrants will also receive a physical copy mailed ahead of the event.

Sean also encourages readers to experiment with the material by pasting sections into tools like ChatGPT or other AI systems to explore and interact with the ideas in new ways.
